I can't til we're on that stage tonight! We're playing at Herr Nilsen in Oslo and that is definitly one of my favourit places in the whole world.
I finally decided to wear one of the dresses i bought in Copenhagen in December. It's a beautiful vintage dress bought at one of the best stores in Copenhagen; FN92.
I wasn't sure what i wanted to do with my hair, but i figgured i had to show the shoulder piece on the dress so i'm wearing it up. But while i'm headbanging to bluegrass music tonight i might remove the pins and let it flow!
My boyfriend got me roses AND bought home a stake for dinner, eventhough he doesn't really care that much about Valentine's Day. He is the cutest man...
Our two years-anniversary is in the beginning of march, so we usually wait with the celebration of cupid's arrow hitting us right in tha shabbang untill then. But i must say, i do feel more romantic than normal looking at the roses and watching my man in the kitchen.
Monday it is! I feel more energetic than i normally do on Mondays and it feels good!
I've been trying to figgure out what i want to be when i grow up, and let me tell you something; it ain't easy! But if you haven't tried it before, you ought'a give it a go. I studied psycology a couple of years a go and, eventough i am disturbingly facinated with the brain and how we worked, thought maybe it's just not something i wanna have as my profession. Now i find my self back where i started and i'm thinking; maybe it is! Ah, man, it feels good! I might change my mind tomorrow, but right now that's what i'm going for. If it'll be now or in tree years though, i don't know.
Later tonight i am rehearsing with the dudes in the band and that's gonna be swell. We are doing some last minuite vocal arrangements for some of the songs on our new album.
Aww, my!!!! I just remember that there's something i have forgotten to tell you!! June last year we were awarded #1 European Bluegrass Band 2011! As the first Norwegian band ever!
Here's a picture of us doing a cafe gig in Holland were we won the award.
I have to run! Going to work and then to mother's day dinner at, well, my mum's house but i figgured i'd post a picture of the hair-do day 2.
Apolagize for the tired expression on my face but, i'm a bit of exactly that; tired:)
Last night we went to see Turboneger and then we moved on to a bit of beer drinking at an other location. I got so inspired this weekend that i couldn't help but dress up again! I bought this jumpsuit in Austin last year and this was the first time it was taken out to meet the public!
PS: I chose to wear my hair in the way that you don't brush it completely soft after curling it, but it can very well be worn that way too. If you do it in the right technique this style can last for two days and i often wear it in the brushed out version on day 2. I'll show you later, in a picture;)
This friday night me and the band was booked for a gig on navy territory, and i, of course, couldn't help my self. I bought this dress last spring and hadn't worn it until now so i figured; perfect occasion! I also wanted to style my hair in my new favourite way: The 40's peek-a-boo style!
This is the blank slate, ready to be worked on:
Here's the hair all ready and sprayed:
Slap on a bit of classic make up (my favourite of all time), and there ya go!
And then, finally; The dress, the Agent Provocateur stockings, some awesome sailor shoes, and you're all done:
